[News] Square Enix donates 100 million yen for disaster relief.

Joining in on aiding victims to the Tohoku earthquake is video game company Square Enix (Yoichi Wada President and Representative Director), The company will donate 100 million yen to the Japanese Red Cross Society, and they also are starting a charity fund with their employees worldwide.

The company actually began fundraising on March 14th through their online game, “Sengoku IXA“. Players can purchase “fundraising items” and proceeds will go to the “Yahoo! Charity Foundation“. Not only that, but players can donate through their Square Enix player accounts using their “Square Enix Crysta” points.

In addition, both Nicotto and TAITO, part of Square Enix, will collect donations from customers at their amusement facilities all across Japan. TAITO will also have special charity items in its social games for mobile phones, and all sales will be donated.
