Seo Hyo-rim has been cast in a new SBS weekend drama alongside Kim Suna, Lee Dong-wook and Um Ki-joon, according to the show's promoter EM.COM.
On Friday, EM.COM announced in a press release that Seo will play the role of Se-kyung, a cold-hearted daughter of a conglomerate, in SBS' TV series tentatively titled "Scent of a Woman" which will premiere on July 16.
"I really wanted to play the role of Se-kyung because she is a woman who risked her life to love," Seo was quoted as saying. "She’s someone who was hurt after she was willing to throw away her wealth to be with the person she loves."
"Scent of a Woman," helmed by director Park Hyung-gi and written by scenarist Noh Ji-seol, Lee Yeon-jae (Kim) who decides to go on a trip to find happiness. The show will depict on the various incidents that Yeon-jae faces during and after her travels.
Seo made her debut in the KBS drama "When Spring Comes" in 2007. She has also been an emcee for KBS' televised music program "Music Bank" opposite Song Joong-ki and starred in the historical drama "SungKyunKwan Scandal" last year.
