A Korean film starring Hallyu stars Jang Keun-suk and Kim Ha-neul will open in Japan early next year, according to a Japanese media outlet on Monday.

Japan's daily paper Sankei Sports reported that their film "You Are My Pet" is scheduled to premiere in January of next year while Jang and Kim will visit the country to promote the movie at a later date.

"We are sad that we weren't able to shoot some of the scenes in Japan in May due to the earthquake that hit the country in March," Jang and Kim were quoted as saying. "But we worked hard on 'Pet' so we hope it will give the viewers in Japan strength and support."

Based on the Japanese comic titled "きみはペット," "Pet" tells the story of a career woman who receives attention for her pretty looks and capability at the workplace yet knows nothing of the ways of the world when it comes to intrapersonal skills and dating.

She then meets a classical ballet dancer who becomes her personal 'pet' which is played by Jang.
