Moon Geun-young held a fan meeting over the weekend, making it the first time in two years for her to meet with her fans officially.
At the meet-and-greet, held at Yeongdeungpo's Art Hall in Seoul on Saturday, Moon met with some 500 of her fans for over three hours, a press release by her agency Namoo Actors said on Monday.
At the event, Moon sang, danced, answered to questions, took part in a speed quiz session and handed each fan self-made cookies and posters with her autograph.
Moon first garnered attention playing the younger version of the female lead in the popular 2000 drama "Autumn Tale", starring Hallyu stars Song Seung-heon, Song Hye-kyo and Won Bin, and rose to stardom after starring in the hit horror film "A Tale of Two Sisters" in 2003.
She had solidified her position as 'the nation's little sister' with several more films and television dramas including "My Little Bride" (2004) and "Dancing Princess" (2005) but has since been taking on more mature roles to shed herself of the childish image.
Her efforts have been successful -- Moon won the grand prize at major broadcaster SBS' year-end Acting Awards in 2009 for her role as a talented painter in drama "The Painter of the Wind" which has received several international acclaims and her series "Sister of Cinderella" (KBS, 2010) which topped TV ratings charts during its 20-episode run.
Most recently, she starred in theatrical play "Closer," the Hollywood film adaptation starring Julia Roberts, Jude Law, Natalie Portman and Clive Owen, where she took on Portman's role of a stripper named Alice.
