Lee Ji-ah is considering a role in an upcoming TV series set to air on major broadcasting channel MBC.
An official at Lee's agency KEYEAST told 10Asia over the phone on Friday, "It is true that she's looking into the role but [her appearance] hasn't been set."
The upcoming MBC drama, named "The Return of the Queen" (translated title), will be written by Kim Do-woo of smash hit series "My Name is Kim Sam-soon" (MBC, 2005) and directed by Koh Dong-sun of Ko Dong-sun of "Queen of Housewives" (MBC, 2009).
Lee, who has kept out of public sight since April when she rattled the country with her secretive marriage and divorce to rock icon Seo Taiji becoming exposed, is looking into other projects as well including a Hollywood movie.
She will not have an easy time making up her mind however -- her relationship with Seo put the country into a state of shock not only because both had been believed to be single after keeping their relationship a secret for 15 years but this March, Lee had also admitted to dating top actor Jung Woo-sung, her co-star of SBS TV series "Athena."
Lee made her debut in the 2007 historical epic "Four Gods" as Suzini, the love interest of Hallyu star Bae Yong-joon. She also appeared in the big screen with "My Love, Ugly Duckling" alongside actor Kang Ji-hwan.
