Marry Me, Mary! can be called a reality, virtual marriage drama putting this critical decision to the test.

Reality shows on marital life are popular these days. Two people come together as a reality couple and perform marital duties as if they were completing a mission. It's a false marriage. They don't have children and don't share a bed, but viewers feel they are the real deal and enjoy experiencing married life through them. In the traditional days, marriage was a sacred union but now it's become a circus, a performance and show.

Marry Me tries something different. Unlike previous shows dealing with the living-together stage before marriage, this drama is about the post-wedding life. It is about a double marriage involving two spouses, not just one. The main character is conflicted over "the person I love" and "the person my parents want."

In real life, marriage isn't only about love but also about social conditions and terms. Through the drama, viewers will experience bohemian life in the youthful Hongik University area as well as the luxurious lifestyle of the posh Cheongdamdong neighborhood.
