Despite ending its broadcast in South Korea last weekend, ‘Secret Garden’ continues to generate buzz after confirmatory reports has reached other countries.

SBS Contents Hub confirmed last Thursday, that they have approved rights for broadcast on thirteen countries with a combined price of US$3.5 million. ‘Secret Garden’ along with the rest of Asia is now approved to be air in Japan, China and Thailand.

It has also signed on with a U.S. website which will offer the series as video-on-demand. The media hub also sent a statement saying : “We expect more profits once exports of merchandise such as dolls, comics and diaries begin sooner or later,” an SBS Contents Hub spokesperson said. “The Japanese terrestrial channel that will broadcast the series expects the same blockbuster success as ‘Winter Sonata’ there.” More on, plans of converting the drama to a local musical is also being thought of and discussed.
