On August 14th, MBC’s ‘Section TV‘ went to meet actress Sung Yuri at a photoshoot.
During the interview, Sung Yuri revealed that for five years, she’s maintained contact with her co-star Hyun Bin from the drama, ‘The Snow Queen‘, which filled female fans with envy. She said, “One day, Hyun Bin sent me a text to invite me to his movie screening. As soon as his name showed up on my phone, there was such chaos around me. So I said, ‘That’s right. I’m a woman who receives text messages from Hyun Bin!‘.”
Having filmed 10 dramas over her career thus far, Sung Yuri is known for her great luck with her male partners. In addition to Hyun Bin, she’s also worked with So Ji Sup, Ji Sung, Cha Tae Hyun, Gong Yoo, Kang Ji Hwan, Jang Geun Suk, Jung Gyeo Woon, and many more.
Commenting on her streak of good-looking co-stars, she jokingly said, “Everyone became a top star after working with me. Because they met me, they became a top star, it was all because of me“. The production team agreed with this and called it the ‘Sung Yuri Effect’; they also gave her the nickname ‘Female Dok Go Jin’, to which she wittily replied, “Dding Ddong“, causing much laughter around her.
Sung Yuri recently concluded ‘Romance Town‘, which had her sharing several kiss scenes with Jung Gyeo Woon. She revealed a behind-the-scenes story about the kiss scenes, saying, ”When Jung Gyeo Woon awkwardly kissed me, the writer criticized him, saying ‘Why are you so bad at this?’. Ever since then we shot passionate kiss scenes filled with fervor.” Sung Yuri continued, “And because we filmed like that, my fans said that my lips disappeared and didn’t like it at all.”
Sung Yuri received a positive response for her acting in ‘Romance Town’, and she’s currently reviewing new scripts for her next work.
