An action movie starring top Korean actors Ko Soo and Kang Dong-won has been invited to four upcoming international film festivals, according to the movie's promoter NEW on Monday.
NEW announced in a press release that Ko and Kang's pic "Haunters" will be screened at the SITGES International Fantastic Film Festival of Catalonia for ten days starting October 6, the Chicago International Film Festival from October 6 to 20, the Warsaw Film Festival from October 7 to 16 and at the Denver Film Festival for 12 days starting November 2.
The movie was previously invited to a number of film festivals earlier this year as well including the Udine Far East Film Festival, Los Angeles International Film Festival, New York Asian Film Festival, Fukuoka Asian Film Festival and FantAsia International Film Festival.
“Haunters,” about a duel between two men, one with a super natural power and the other who can resist it, has also been sold to several countries overseas including Thailand, Taiwan, Malaysia, Germany, Belgium, the Netherlands and Luxembourg.
It also secured the highest number of advance tickets sales last year and attracted over one million moviegoers within a week of its premiere on November 10.
