After topping Google Korea’s top searches of 2011, IU marks yet another milestone in her popularity. The young singer’s “Good Day,” from her third mini-album “Real IU,” is the most popular song in the karaoke for this year, according to data from music content companies.

Based on aggregate results, IU’s “Good Day” came out to be the most favorite song to sing at karaokes, followed by Yim Jae Bum’s “For You.” In third place is the nearly six-year-long-standing leader Yi Eun Mi’s “Do You Have a Girlfriend?”

Aside from “Good Day,” IU also has two other tracks in the top 100. Her collaboration with 2AM’s Seulong, “Nagging,” is at number 59 while “Someday” is in 64th place. This places her as the female solo singer with the most number of tracks in the Top 10 list.

Other notable singers are “Superstar K2” winner Huh Gak, who officially debuted in mid-2011. The newcomer has three tracks in the top 10, including “Happy Me” at number four, “Always” at number seven and “Run to the Sky” at number nine.

MBC’s programs “Infinity Challenge” and “I Am a Singer” have also contributed to the popularity of certain tracks. “I Cheated” from GG, a collaboration between variety entertainer Park Myung Soo and Big Bang’s G-Dragon for “Infinity Challenge” also appeared in the top 100 list. Meanwhile, “I Am a Singer” has brought attention to many of the tracks that were covered during the program.
