Korean actor Ji Jin-hee will meet with a couple hundred Japanese fans in Korea over the weekend to introduce them to hidden tourist attractions in the country.

A press release by his agency fantagio said on Friday that tomorrow, Ji, also a promotional ambassador with the Korea Tourism Organization, will introduce some 250 of his fans to tourist spots in Korea through photographs that he took himself.

Ji will also present each of his fans with autographed copies of his photograph collection named "Ji Jin-hee's Railway Journey - Photo Essay" (translated title).

The collection, aimed at revitalizing tourism between Korea and Japan, was produced by Ji who under the theme of 'trains and photographs,' took photos and wrote essays on the main train stations throughout Korea as well as the hidden tourist attractions surrounding them.

"I'm happy to get to introduce the hidden attractions in Korea and I'm hoping that this will serve as an opportunity through which many people will take interest in new tourist spots," Ji was quoted as saying in the statement.

Ji has been an honorary ambassador for tourism to Korea since 2009 and has been active in promoting the Korean culture and the country's traditional palaces.

He rose to fame in Asia for his role in historical drama "Jewel in the Palace" in 2003 and further solidified his position with another historical series "Dong Yi - Jewel in the Crown" in 2010.

He is now filming SBS TV series "Take Care of Us Captain" opposite actress Ku Hye-sun, which is set for a premiere on January 4 of next year.
