Fans of Kim Jae Won may be able to see the actor again very soon. Reports say he is hoping to attend the 2011 MBC Drama Awards on the evening of December 30. It is his first public appearance since a dislocated shoulder in October forced him to take time off for recovery.

Kim Jae Won dislocated his shoulder on the first day of shooting for the drama “Me Too, Flower.” His injury required surgery and complete rest, which prompted him to withdraw from the production. He had focused his energies on recovery all this time. Reports were out that his rehabilitation is going well, thanks to the support of his family, friends and fans.

Although he is well enough to attend public functions like weddings and movie premieres of his close associates, the 2011 MBC Drama Awards will be his first public outing.

“Kim Jae Won wants to show his appreciation for the support to ‘Me Too, Flower’ although he wasn’t able to continue working in it,” his management said in a statement. “He is not yet fully recovered but he is very positive, thanks to the support of fans.”
