Korea's broadcasting station MBC has revealed photos of actor Lee Sun-kyun and actress Hwang Jung-eum, which will be used for the poster of the channel's next Monday and Tuesday primetime series, "Golden Time."
The still shots of Lee and Hwang donned in surgical gowns, hair caps and doctor gowns have been revealed in a press release sent by MBC on Monday.
"I get have more sense of duty whenever I'm wearing a doctor's gown or surgical gown," Lee said in the statement, showing a deep connection with the role he has signed on to play.
"Golden Time," the follow-up series to "Light and Shadow," will pivot around small and big events happening to surgeons working at a general hospital.
When describing the shooting process, the officials said the production crew has been discussing every little detail in directing the show with 911 rescue team and real doctors, in order to depict the workings of a big hospital realistically in each scene.
The golden time, or the golden hour, refers to a time period following traumatic injury sustained by a casualty, when there is the highest possibility to prevent a patient’s death.
While the cast members are busy shooting for the upcoming series in Busan, where all shooting schedules will be held, “Golden Time” will hit the airwaves on July 9, the officials explained.
