สวัสดีค่ะ วันนี้เราเปลี่ยนจากเมาไวน์ มาเรียนภาษาญี่ปุ่นคำละวันกันบ้างดีกว่านะคะ (นานาชาติจริงๆ เว็บนี้) ทำเป็น 2 ภาษาเช่นเคยนะคะ เผื่อเพื่อนๆ ชาวต่างชาติของเราด้วยค่ะ


“Manga”, this word you often heard for many years, but do you know the meaning of it? Manga (in kanji 漫画; in hiragana まんが; in katakana マンガ, Manga), is the Japanese word for comics and print cartoons. In their modern form, manga date from shortly after World War II, but have a long, complex history in earlier Japanese art.
“Manga” คำๆ นี้คุณอาจเคยเห็นหรือได้ยินกันอยู่บ่อยๆ ตลอดหลายปีที่ผ่านมา แต่คุณรู้ความหมายที่แท้จริงของมันกันหรือเปล่า Manga (ตัวคันจิ 漫画; ตัวฮิรางานะ まんが; ตัวคาตาคานะ マンガ, Manga), ออกเสียงว่า “มังงะ” (ไม่ใช่ แมง (ปาทัง) ก้า นะคะ) คำนี้เป็นภาษาญี่ปุ่นหมายถึงหนังสือการ์ตูน มังงะถือกำเนิดขึ้นหลังสงครามโลกครั้งที่ 2 แต่มีประวัติอันซับซ้อนมายาวนานในศิลปะญี่ปุ่นยุคก่อนๆ


In Japan, manga are widely read by people of all ages, and include a broad range of subjects: action-adventure, romance, sports and games, historical drama, comedy, science fiction and fantasy, mystery, horror, sexuality, and business and commerce, among others. Since the 1950s, manga have steadily become a major part of the Japanese publishing industry. Manga have also become increasingly popular worldwide. In 2006, the US manga market was $175–200 million. Manga are typically printed in black and white, although some full-color manga exist. In Japan, manga are usually serialized in telephone book-size manga magazines, often containing many stories each presented in a single episode to be continued in the next issue. A manga artist typically works with a few assistants in a small studio and is associated with a creative editor from a commercial publishing company. If a manga series is popular enough, it may be animated after or even during its run, although sometimes manga are drawn centering on previously existing live-action or animated films (e.g. Star Wars)
ในญี่ปุ่น มังงะเป็นที่นิยมอ่านกันมากในคนทุกวัย โดยไม่จำกัดขอบเขตของเรื่องราว มีทั้งแนวบู๊ล้างผลาญ โรมานซ์ กีฬาและเกมส์ เรื่ององประวัติศาสตร์ ตลกขบขัน นิยายวิทยาศาสตร์แฟนตาซี เรื่องลึกลับ เรื่องสยองขวัญ เรื่องเพศ ธุรกิจการค้า และอื่นๆ อีกมากมาย ตั้งแต่ปี 1950 มังงะกลายมาเป็นอุตสาหกรรมหลักของวงการสิ่งพิมพ์ญี่ปุ่น แถมยังได้รับความนิยมกันอย่างแพร่หลาย ในปี 2006 ตลาดมังงะในอเมริกามีมูลค่าถึง 175-200 ล้านดอลลาร์ มังงะของแท้นั้นต้องพิมพ์เป็นภาพขาวดำ แต่เดี๋ยวนี้ก็มีแบบสี่สีด้วย ในญี่ปุ่น มังงะจะตีพิมพ์ด้วยขนาดเท่าสมุดโทรศัพท์ ในหนึ่งเรื่องจะมีหลายๆ ตอนต่อเนื่องกัน นักวาดการ์ตูนจะทำงานในสตูดิโอเล็กๆ โดยมีผู้ช่วย และประสานงานร่วมกับบรรณาธิการฝ่ายสร้างสรรค์ของสำนักพิมพ์ ถ้าการ์ตูนชุดนั้นโด่งดังขึ้นมา ก็อาจถูกนำมาทำเป็นหนังการ์ตูน แต่บางครั้งก็มีมังงะที่เขียนมาจากหนังเช่นกัน (อย่างเช่น สตาร์วอร์ส)


Manga as a term outside of Japan refers specifically to comics originally published in Japan. However, manga and manga-influenced comics, among original works, exist in other parts of the world, particularly in Taiwan, South Korea, and the China.
คำว่า มังงะ เมื่อใช้นอกญี่ปุ่นนั้นหมายถึงการ์ตูนที่ตีพิมพ์ในญี่ปุ่น แต่อิทธิพลของมังงะจากงานเขียนดั้งเดิมก็แพร่ขยายไปยังที่อื่นๆ ทั่วโลก โดยเฉพาะอย่างยิ่งในไต้หวัน เกาหลีใต้ และจีน

Dojinshi are produced by small amateur publishers outside of the mainstream commercial market in a similar fashion to small-press independently published comic books. While they are many times original stories, many are parodies of or include fictional characters from popular manga and anime series. Some Dojinshi continue with a series' story or write an entirely new one using its characters, much like fan fiction.
โดจินชิ หรือ บางทีก็เรียกกันว่า โดจิน เกิดขึ้นจากสำนักพิมพ์สมัครเล่นขนาดเล็กๆ ที่อยู่นอกวงการธุรกิจ คล้ายๆ กับเป็นสำนักพิมพ์อิสระที่ตีพิมพ์การ์ตูนออกมา ถึงจะเป็นเรื่องที่แต่งขึ้นใหม่ แต่ก็หยิบเอาตัวละครจากการ์ตูนหรือภาพยนตร์ที่คนรู้จักกันดีมาใช้ บางทีโดจินชิก็เขียนออกมาเป็นเรื่องราวต่อเนื่อง โดยใช้ตัวละครที่คนรู้จักกันดี ลักษณะจะคล้ายๆ กับแฟนฟิค

Otaku (おたく or オタク, Otaku) is a Japanese term used to refer to people with obsessive interests, particularly anime, manga, and video game.In modern Japanese slang, the term otaku refers to fan of, or is specialized in any particular theme, topic, or hobby. Common uses are anime otaku (a fan of anime ) and manga otaku (a fan of Japanese comic books or manga). While these are the most common uses of otaku, the word can be applied to anything (music otaku, martial arts otaku, cooking otaku, etc).
โอตาคุ เป็นคำภาษาญี่ปุ่นใช้เรียกกลุ่มคนที่ที่มีความคลั่งไคล้ในการ์ตูน มังงะ หรือวีดีโอเกม มากเป็นพิเศษ ในแสลงยุคใหม่ คำว่าโอตาคุยังนำมาใช้กับกลุ่มแฟนๆ ที่คลั่งไคล้ในเรื่องใดเรื่องหนึ่งเป็นพิเศษ ที่ใช้กันทั่วไปก็คือ อนิเม โอตาคุ (กลุ่มแฟนหนังการ์ตูน) และมังงะ โอตาคุ (กลุ่มแฟนมังงะ) นี่อาจเป็นคำที่ใช้กันอยู่บ่อยๆ แต่ยังใช้เรียกคนกลุ่มอื่นๆ ได้อีกด้วย อย่าง พวกบ้าเพลง บ้าศิลปะการต่อสู้ หรือบ้าทำอาหาร
