Hi Yong Joon ssi and other BYJ family members,

I don't know where to start. The 30th event at Tokyo Dome was so fantastic. I wanted to write to you asap last night, but I wasn't alone so I couldn't.

Thank you very much Yong Joon ssi for your effort and energy to make that event so well. I really appreciate your candor comment at the end, " I wasn't feeling well, but after seeing all the family members here I feel much better." I loved your smile at the end when you had done everything so well and you looked very satisfied and relieved. Yes, you were perfect in spite of your bad body condition.

The family members there enjoyed every single moment as Chosun.com writes.
Especially when you started writing the post card in perfect Japanese, "After a long trip, I've come back (to all BYJ family members in the world).......Now I'll pursue my new dream with you all."

..... Now I need some tissue....

It was so touching that I think almost everyone there was crying as you wrote. There was a friendly lady next to my seat, and she was crying a lot. She kept telling me if you were alright to stand on the stage for such a long time. To me she looked like she was your mom.

To be honest with you, I've hesitated to call us as your "family", because obviously there is a big difference between your real family and us. However, with this event you convinced me why you call us "family". As you sited a poem by a monk, "We don't need to share all the pain and worries. Just with a tear drop we can understand each other..." ( Hope my memory is correct). So many people there and in the world wish your well being and happiness. We often worry you are trying too hard. We wonder if you are having fun with whatever you do. That is enough to be called "family".

You were on the stage almost all the time from 4:00-7:30 ish. You read your book, you told us how you felt during your long trip, you said you are very much interested in healthy food and lacquer art. You did everything we wanted to know and hear from you directly. I just hope you are alright.

After the event I had to run to catch a taxi and I was lucky to share one with a lady from Kyoto. I don't think many people in Japan share a taxi with a stranger especiially in Tokyo. But the lady was kind enough to offer me. She must be over 70 years old. But she was wearing black leather pants and looking quite young. We chatted in the car and exchanged our joy. She told me that she often comes to Tokyo all the way from Kyoto to attend "BYJ OFF Meeting" at Goshire. She is really keen. By the way "OFF Meeting" means kind of a sub group. This time she attended both events and had a wonderful time for two days.

We know you have more work to do in Tokyo, and you can't rest well while you are there. But please try to take it easy as much as you can. And have fun.

โชคดีที่วันนี้งานฉันไม่ยุ่งมากนัก ฉันเลยอยากมาแบ่งปันบางช่วงที่สนุกๆ จากเมื่อวันที่ 30 แต่ถ้ายงจุนชิเป็นเจ้านายของฉัน เขาคงทำตาเขียวเมื่อเห็นคอมพิวเตอร์ของฉันแน่ แต่ไม่เป็นไร เพราะที่บริษัทของฉัน ฉันเป็นเจ้านาย

มีอยู่ 2 เรื่องขำๆ ที่ทำให้ฉันอดยิ้มไม่ได้

เรื่องแรกก็คือ ระหว่างพิธีประกาศปีท่องเที่ยวเกาหลี 2010-2012 คุณลีเกิดเข้าใจผิดไปตอบคำถามที่เขาถามเบยงจุนเข้า ยงจุนชิยังอดหัวเราะไม่ได้ คุณลีกล่าวขอโทษเป็นภาษาเกาหลีและภาษาอังกฤษ (เขายังพูดภาษาญี่ปุ่นได้ดีอีกด้วย) มันตลกดีและฉันก็หัวเราะซะยกใหญ่ ฉันว่าบางทียงจุนชิก็ใช้เวลาอยู่บ้างกว่าจะตอบคำถามได้ นั่นทำความลำบากให้ล่ามไม่น้อยในการทำให้การสื่อสารลื่นไหล

แล้วก็พิธีกร คุณมิยาโมโต ซึ่งพูดภาษาเกาหลีได้ดีมาก เขาทำอีกเรื่องขำๆ ฉันว่าเขาคงอยากแซวแฟนๆ ของเบยงจุนเพื่อสร้างบรรยากาศ แล้วเขาก็ทำได้ดีทีเดียว ระหว่างที่เรากำลังพยายามทำให้เบยงจุนประหลาดใจ ด้วยการโบกผ้าสีแดง สีเหลือง และสีน้ำเงิน ให้เขาอยู่นั้นโดยไม่พูดอะไรเลย คุณมิยาโมโตพูดขึ้นว่า “ดูเหมือนดอกไม้แสนสวยเลยนะครับ ที่สวยเป็นพิเศษเพราะไม่ต้องเห็นหน้าพวกคุณไงครับ” แล้วเขาก็กล่าวขอโทษเป็นภาษาญี่ปุ่น และพูดว่า “โชซัมนิดะ” อีกด้วย

ฉันได้อ่านข้อความจาก JOB (เว็บไซต์ของเบยงจุนในญี่ปุ่น) พวกเขาขอบคุณเบยงจุนสำหรับความทุ่มเทและเจตนาอันแรงกล้า ทั้งยังขอบคุณครอบครัวของพวกเขาที่ยอมให้เดินทางมาโตเกียว เพราะแฟนๆ ส่วนใหญ่ของเบยงจุนอยู่ในวัย 40-60 ปี และมากกว่านั้น พวกเขาต่างมีครอบครัวที่ต้องดูแล ถ้าปราศจากความเข้าใจจากสมาชิกในครอบครัว พวกเขาคงไม่สามารถมาร่วมงานนี้ได้

Hi BYJ family members,

Luckily I’m not too busy at work today, so I would like to share some funny episodes on the 30th. But if Yong Joon ssi were my boss, he’d frown by looking at my PC. Never mind. I’m the boss at my company.

There were two funny things that keep me smile.

First, during the 2010-2012 Visiting Korea event ceremony, by mistake its Ambassador Mr. Lee was going to answer one of the questions to BYJ. Yong Joon ssi couldn’t hide his laughs. Mr. Lee apologized in Korean and English. (He also spoke pretty good Japanese.) It was really funny and I laughed so hard. I guess Yong Joon ssi sometimes takes time to answer questions, and also having interpreters was also a bit difficult for the participants to communicate smoothly.

The MC. Mr. Miyamoto, who spoke pretty good Korean, did the other thing. I suppose he liked to tease the BYJ family members to have a nice atmosphere, and he was quite good at it. While we were trying to surprise BYJ by waving red, yellow and blue wrapping cloth at him without saying anything, Mr Miyamoto said, ”Oh, it really looks like beautiful flowers, especially because your faces cannot be seen!” Ha Ha Ha. Then he apologized in Japanese and also said “chosamnida”.

I read some JOB messages. They are thanking BYJ for his dedication and strong willpower. They also thank their real family that they were able to travel to Tokyo for a couple days. Most of the BYJ family members are from their 40’s –60’s, and older. They have their family to look after, so without having understanding family members, they couldn’t join the events.

We are all concerned Yong Joon ssi’s health. He looked better yesterday at the Digital TV channel’s opening event. Hope he can have time to rest.
