...Hallyu began roughly 12 years ago when the rest of Asia discovered Korean soap operas. One of the breakthrough dramas was a series 'Winter Sonata' starring Choi Ji-woo & Bae Young-Joon. [News] Bae Yong-joon and Seo Taiji, managers are brothers.
Cr. - hancinema
The head of Lee Ji-ah's management Bae Yong-joon's Japanese management CEO is brothers with Seo Taiji's previous manager.
Bae Yong-joon's Japanese management IMX CEO Son Il-hyeong is brother of Seo Taiji's previous manager Son Geun-hyeong's.
Son Il-hyeong has been the main publisher of Bae Yong-joon, Lee Min-ho, Lee Joon-ki and other Korean programs after establishing IMX in 2001. His brother Son Geun-hyeong had been in charge of Seo Taiji during the mid 2000 throughout 3 of Seo Taiji's concerts.
When Lee Ji-ah made her debut with Bae Yong-joon through a cell phone commercial, CEO Son Il-hyeong was exclusively in charge of Bae Yong-joon's Japanese management and Son Geun-hyeong was Seo Taiji's manager. We can guess from here that Seo Taiji might've introduced Bae Yong-joon's opposing act in the commercial.
Lee Ji-ah's management Key East previously revealed, "We had no idea Lee Ji-ah and Seo Taiji were married and Bae Yong-joon and Seo Taiji have no acquaintance. However, as the connection between Bae Yong-joon and Seo Taiji surfaces, truth leans more towards that fact that the actual head of the management Bae Yong-joon did indeed know about the relationship between Lee Ji-ah and Seo Taiji.
