A smart phone application featuring Hallyu star Jang Keun-suk has been released, according to his agency Tree J. Company.
On Tuesday, Tree J. announced in a press release that they launched the mobile application on April 9 which features the latest news, never-before-scene photos and videos and real-time messages posted by Jang himself.
"I am incredibly excited that I will be able to keep my fans posted on my hourly activities," Jang was quoted as saying. "I have written daily journal entries for my fans and read their responses and it’s great that everything will become simpler through this application."
Jang made his debut in entertainment at the early age of five as a catalog model. His TV debut came in 1997 with the cable channel HBS’ sitcom “Happiness For Sale” and has since appeared in numerous dramas including youth sitcom “Non Stop 4” (MBC, 2004), historical drama “Hwang Jin-yi” (KBS, 2006).
He rose to super stardom in Korea and throughout Asia after starring in the SBS hit series "He is Beautiful" where he played the eccentric lead singer of the idol group A.N.JELL where he proved himself capable of covering fields of both music and acting.
He is set to release his first single album in Japan which has been pushed back to April 27 due to the country being in distress after its massive earthquake on March 11.
Jang is currently busy preparing for his upcoming Asia tour where he will visit several cities including Singapore, Hong Kong, Thailand, Malaysia, Taiwan and Shanghai.
