Hally Star Jang Keun-suk’s TV series "You're Beautiful" will be screened in 60 theaters in Japan, informed his agency Tree J. Company on Tuesday.

According to a press release by Tree J. Company, Jang’s popular 2009 drama “You're Beautiful” (SBS), will be re-adapted for the big screen and be shown in 60 theaters throughout Japan from May 6 to 19.

“This is all thanks to those who showed much love and interest toward the drama. I can hardly wait to see the movie version myself. It'll feel like a new treat since the show will play on a much bigger screen,” Jang was quoted as saying in the statement.

The 16-part series, also starring actress Park Shin-hye, CNBLUE’s leader Jung Yong-ha and FTIsland’s main vocalist Lee Hong-gi, was first introduced in Japan through Hallyu satellite channel KNTV early last year and was later re-aired by Fuji TV as summer special in the latter half of the same year.

The drama is about a girl, disguised as her twin brother who is a member of male rock band A.N.JELL, who starts falling for the team’s leader played by Jang.

Jang is currently one of the hottest Hallyu stars in Japan who is the main model for the advertisements for Korean traditional alcoholic beverage “Suntory Seoul Makgeolli," and has appeared as the cover model for weekly fashion magazine anan and the music video of Japanese singer E.L.T.

He has also been promoting his big screen remake of a film based on Japanese manga "きみはペット" (You’re My Pet)” and is set to release his debut single in Japan on April 27.

He is also busy preparing for his upcoming Asia tour that will cover Taiwan, Hong Kong, Thailand, Singapore, Malaysia and other countries.
