Park Shi-hoo has made his debut in Japan official by signing a contract with EMI JAPAN, revealed his Korean agency Eyagi Entertainment on Wednesday.
A press release by Eyagi explained that EMI JAPAN, which is the Japanese subsidiary to EMI Ltd., a global music and recording company based in Britain, will be in charge of managing Park’s future activities in Japan.
World-class musicians such as the Beatles and Utada Hikaru also belong to EMI while the company has newly launched a talent agency this year to manage actors as well.
“Park’s clean-cut, gentle image is being received in Japan well so we plan to go all the way to help him enhance his activities while moving between Korea and Japan,” an official at EMI who revealed that he has been eyeing Park for some time was quoted as saying in the statement.
Park, 33, whose real name is Park Pyung-ho, made his debut through KBS2 TV series “Delightful Girl Choon Hyang” in 2005 and has since starred in “What Star Did You Come From” (MBC, 2006) ”Iljimae” (SBS, 2008) and “Princess Prosecutor” (SBS, 2010).
He has secured a number of Japanese fans through “Prosecutor Princess” and “Queen of Reversal” (MBC, 2010) which is set to go on air on Fuji TV sometime around May to June.
