When Asian heartthrob Takeshi Kaneshiro faced the media at the Taipei premiere of his latest movie "Wu Xia", the questioned was popped.
Too bad the answer wasn't "Yes" or "I do". The low profile actor was hit with several rumours over the past month including one which claimed that he was already married.
When asked to clarify by the Taiwan media, Kaneshiro paused for a moment before responding with a smile.
"I am also baffled [by the rumours], most of the women [photographed] are colleagues or friends.
"My manager has already clarified, I do not need to explain further," said the 37-year-old at the Taipei premiere for "Wu Xia" which sees Kaneshiro starring alongside Hong Kong actor Donnie Yen and China actress Tang Wei .
The series of rumours was sparked off when the actor was spotted driving a woman from his house on 26 June.
The woman who was sporting a T-shirt with a slogan "I'm your gift" was then named "Gift Girl" by the media. Kaneshiro's manager Eva Yao then clarified that "Gift Girl" was just a mutual friend of theirs.
"It is totally impossible!" said Yao of the rumours. Speaking in a slightly agitated manner, Yao went on to exclaim "so angry!" as she vented her feelings to the media.
Dubbed the most handsome otaku (homebody), the low profile actor is so secretive about his love life, there has even been some speculations about his sexual orientation.
