[News] Hwanhee to make big screen debut as male lead.

Korean singer Hwanhee will make his debut on the big screen as the male lead in an upcoming movie, according to his agency H-entercom.

An official from H-entercom told 10Asia over the phone that Hwanhee will play the role of ROMI in the upcoming movie "Star (translated title)" though the release date has not been finalized.

He continued to explain that "Star" is a love story which circles around ROMI who is a popular singer in Asia.

"We believe that Hwanhee will be able to take on the role since he has experience in acting on the small screen."

Born Hwang Yoon-suk, Hwanhee made his debut in R&B duo Fly to the Sky with member Brian. They have released numerous albums and produced hit songs including "Sea of Love," "Missing You" and "Gravity."

In October 2009, he began his solo career and branched out into the small screen with roles in MBC's "Over the Rainbow" and SBS' "I Love You."

He recently released his self-titled full-length album and will begin promoting the title track "Feel Like Dying" over various televised music programs.
