MBC romantic series "My Princess," starring Kim Tae-hee and Song Seung-heon, will soon air on a terrestrial broadcaster in Japan, according to the show's producer Curtain Call.
"We are currently in talks with a Japanese public network to air 'My Princess' though nothing has been finalized as of now," an official from Curtain Call told 10Asia over the phone on Monday.
The official went onto explain that "Princess" first showed on Japan's cable channel DATV in March and recently began its run on another cable network last month.
"My Princess," helmed by producer Kwon Suk-jang of the popular MBC TV series "Pasta," is about how an average free-spirited college student named Lee Seul (Kim) finds out that she is a lost descendant from Korea's Joseon Dynasty.
She learns what it takes to become royalty by taking lessons from Hae-young (Song) and the two soon fall in love.
The series, which aired for two months since early January, posted steady viewership ratings in the 13 to 15 percent range amongst its competitors in the Wednesday and Thursday lineup.
