[News] KBS “Sungkyunkwan Scandal” Wins Bronze Award at 2012 New York TV Festival.

KBS drama “Sungkyunkwan Scandal” won the bronze award at the “2012 New York TV Festival.” The 2010 drama series, starring Park Yoo Chun, Yoo Ah In, Song Joong Ki, and Park Min Young, was given the honor in the mini-series category at the award show held on April 17 in Las Vegas.
“We hope this award will help spread K-Pop that’s gaining popularity in Japan and Asia to more countries around the world,” the producer of the drama said as he accepted the award.
“Sungkyunkwan Scandal” was one of the most popular dramas in Korea in 2010. It won numerous awards for its tight storyline and star-studded lineup. The New York TV Festival is one of the most prestigious TV award shows, which celebrated its 55th anniversary this year. More than 400 TV broadcasters participated in this year’s show, including UK’s BBC Worldwide, U.S.’s CBS, Canada’s CBC, Germany’s ZDF, and Japan’s NHK.
