Korean actor Song Seung-heon and JYJ member Kim Jaejoong's upcoming TV series has been slated to hit the airwaves in mid-May.
The show's broadcaster MBC announced in a press release on Wednesday that Song and Kim's forthcoming drama, tentatively titled "Time Slip Dr. Jin," will take on the channel's weekend primetime lineup starting May 26.
Based on the Japanese cartoon by famous scriptwriter Murakami Motoka, their series has been chosen as the follow-up to "Supper of the Gods" (translated title) --Sung Yuri, Joo Sang-wook and Lee Sang-woo's current starrer.
MBC also explained that actor Lee Bum-soo has joined the cast to play Lee Ha-eung, one of the main leaders of the Joseon Dynasty.
"Time Slip Dr. Jin" tells the story of Dr. Jin (Song), a cold-hearted doctor who was born into a doctor’s family.
Through magical powers he travels back to the 1980s in the Joseon Dynasty and starts developing medicines to save people from dying. In the story, Kim will play a military officer.
