Hallyu star Ryu Si-won's agency R's Company shot down rumors regarding Ryu's divorce by announcing their official stance this morning.
Amid looming rumors that the actor's wife has filed a divorce against Ryu, R's Company stated on Monday that Ryu has not reached an agreement with his wife yet and he is doing his best to keep his family from breaking apart.
The officials also shared their belief that there is a possibility of Ryu avoiding a divorce, if the couple go through more talks and understand each other more.
While being active with his career in a professional racing team and televised programs, Ryu got married in October 2010, when his wife was seven months into her pregnancy.
Three months after the ceremony, which grabbed much public attention towards an actor in his late 30s, the couple gave a birth to a daughter.
Ironically, his upcoming drama which is scheduled to hit the airwaves on May 7 through Channel A, is titled "Good-bye Wife."
Due to the rumors surrounding Ryu's short-lived marriage, the drama's shooting schedule is currently on hold and is indefinitely postponed, an official told 10Asia in a brief telephone interview this afternoon.
While the series is Ryu's first drama in four years to take on a main role after SBS' "Style," "Good-bye Wife" has been highly anticipated by his fans in the country and abroad with its distribution rights being pre-sold to Japan.
