Korean romance pic "Architecture 101" will be played as the closing pic at the 15th Shanghai International Film Festival (SIFF).
Actress Han Ga-in and actor Lee Je-hoon, two of the four lead actors in "Architecture 101," are to join the festival's closing event and the film's screening to be held in Shanghai on June 24.
Han's agency, J-One Plus, confirmed through a press release this morning that the actress will fly to Shanghai this Saturday to walk the red carpet with director Lee Yong-joo and actor Lee Je-hoon.
"I was extremely happy to hear that 'Architecture 101' has been chosen as the closing film at the SIFF. I hope that the movie receives favorable reviews in China as well," Han was quoted as saying.
The romance pic begins with architect named Sung-min (Uhm) encountering his first love Seo-yeon (Han). Sung-min rebuilds her house in Jeju Island after she intentionally asks for his help in order to get back with him.
The film traces back to when both were freshmen in college, in which the younger versions are played by Bae Suzy and Lee. The two soulmates first meet in college at an architecture 101 course and Sung-min instantly falls in love with his first love.
Since opening in theaters on March 22, "Architecture" has attracted over 4.1 million moviegoers to date, according to the film's distributer CJ Entertainment.
