K-pop artist Kim Jae-joong, a member of top boy band JYJ, is to release a brand new version of his hit solo album “I.”
The upcoming album “Y,” a repackaged version of his first solo mini-album “I,” is set to be rolled out on February 26, Kim’s agency C-Jes Entertainment said on February 8.
The new record will include the original five tracks in “I,” two new songs including a dance song “Only Love” which Kim unveiled at his January concerts, and new photos exclusively for the repackaged album.
“The 120,000 pre-ordered copies of the first album were initially sold out right after its release, while the additional 20,000 orders were also gone in a week. The album proved its high quality and Kim’s overwhelming popularity,” officials from C-Jes said in a statement.
The pop star’s first solo album “I” is continuing to thrive by topping a series of album sales charts both in and out of Korea, such as Korea`s Hanteo weekly chart in the third week of January, Taiwan`s Five Music K-pop chart and Japan`s Shinseido K-pop chart in the following week.
With the release of the newly-packaged album, the 27-year-old singer is to embark on solo activities with a forthcoming Asia tour.
