Oh Ji-ho and actress Kim Hyo-jin, co-stars of upcoming Korea-China-Japan produced TV series "Stranger 6," have been named promotional ambassadors for the city of Yeosu in the South Jeolla Province in Korea.

Accordingly, the two on Sunday attended a ceremony where Yeosu Mayor Kim Chung-seog appointed the two as the city's PR ambassadors, a press release issued by the show's promoter YTree Media said today.

Yeosu, set to host the Expo 2012 Yeosu Korea, had also signed a memorandum of understanding (MOU) with the drama itself on July 1 being the city that part of "Stranger 6" will be shot.

"Forming a business partnership with 'Stranger 6' which is set to go on air in some 30 countries over the world will become an opportunity to make the beauty of Yeosu known widely and appointing the two stars, who have many fans both domestically and internationally, as PR ambassadors will contribute much to promoting not only our city but the 2012 Yeosu Korea as well," the government of Yeosu city was quoted as saying in the statement.

"Strangers 6," set to air during the latter half of this year, will tell the story of six individuals from Korea, Japan and China assigned by the highest level authorities of their respective countries to protect the three countries' joint economic area from being interfered by an organization.

The show will be overseen by China's leading production company Beijing Hualu Baina Film&Tv Co., Ltd. while Japan's FujiTV, WOWOW and Index and Korea's W media Contents, BnC Entertainment and HnB Pictures will take part in creating the series.
