Sunshine Angel starring Wu Zun (in what is likely his last drama performance) and Rainie Yang (see her with her trademark long locks prior to cutting it for Drunken to Love You) is finally getting an airtime. It’s airing next month on a Hunan region network in China. Unlike Sunny Happiness which got a tandem China and Taiwan airing date, looks like SA won’t be airing in Taiwan anytime soon. Who cares though, cuz I still get to watch it.
I was stunned when I watched the preview and heard Wu Zun’s real voice. OMG, that boy has adorably accented bad Mandarin and has been dubbed in every single one of his dramas. This will be a cute first to hear him speak on screen.
Double love. And his chemistry with Rainie looks totally squee to me. But a word of caution – SA looks to be the exact same storyline of Successful Story of a Bright Girl with Jang Hyuk and Jang Nara - rich chaebol and his meddlesome maid complete with parachuting into her while she’s taking an outdoor bath. Still one of K-dramas most befuddling first meetings ever. Watch the preview below!
