Jang Keun Suk and Girls’ Generation’s YoonA prove their celebrity status in Japan. The two, who are currently filming “Love Rain” in Japan, have attracted crowds of fans that watch them on location. The crowds were of a considerable size that Japan’s local media outlets “Nikkan Sports,” “Sankei Sports,” and other major agencies have picked up on the buzz on the artists and the drama.
As earlier reported, the first meeting between their modern-day characters Seo Joon (Jang Keun Suk) and Lee Hana (YoonA) takes place there. Photographer Seo Joon and student Lee Hana begin their love story amid the snow-covered surroundings of Hokkaido.
The drama has been receiving a lot of attention since it was first announced because it is the comeback project of the team behind the highly successful Hallyu drama “Winter Sonata,” director Yoon Suk Ho and writer Oh Soo Yun.
“Love Rain” has already sold broadcast rights at a reported record price in Japan, ahead of its domestic premiere on KBS on March 26.
