Male K-pop idol group 2PM’s member Nichkhun has been honored with a grand prize from Kerd Awards in Thailand.

At the awards’ ceremony held in Bangkok on March 30, Nichkhun was announced as the winner of Kerd of the Year category, the ceremony’s official website said.

The annual event is hosted by one of Thailand’s most famous talk show hosts, Wutthithorn Woody Milintajinda.



Every year, a panel of judges chooses the most influential people under nine segments-- Born to grasp the main scene, Born to be famous, Born to be a comedian, Born to be pop, Born to be giver, Born to be together, Born to be hot and Kerd of the Year.

Nichkhun and other 2PM members just wrapped up their fan meeting over the weekend, which was presented in a series of TV programs that adapted MBC's "The Moon Embracing the Sun," a wildlife animal television show, "The Kingdom of Animals" (translated title) and other TV shows.
