Korean actor Jang Keun-suk is appearing on one of top variety shows in China this weekend.
Jang, who has been keeping both his singing and acting careers active lately, is guest starring on the special episode of Hunan TV's "Happy Camp" airing on Saturday, his promotor YTree Media said in a press release Friday.
The actor visited China earlier this week for the shooting with five co-hosts, including Chinese actor and emcee He Jiong, and the officials said Saturday's episode is also the program's 15th anniversary since kicking off the run in 1997.
Though he is more known as an actor, taking roles mainly in romantic comedies or melodramas, Jang has been showing some strength as an artist in overseas markets, especially Japan.
His first official Japanese album, "Just Crazy," shattered Oricon's record last week by becoming the first foreign solo artist in the coveted chart's history to score double wins on the daily and weekly charts with the first official release.
Meanwhile, the "Love Rain" actor is gearing up to kick off his Asia tour concert titled "THE CRI SHOW 2," starting with the first run in Seoul on July 7, the publicists said.
