The “City Hunter” actor is set to return to the small screen this year with a new drama, “The One Trying to Wear the Crown, Bear the Weight- The Heirs” (tentative title) from the popular writer, Kim Eun Sook, who has also penned the hits “Secret Garden” and “A Gentleman’s Dignity,” among many others. The drama will be helmed by director Kang Shin Hyo, who also directed “Tazza” and “Midas.”

Lee Min Ho commented through his agency, Starhaus Entertainment, “After watching her dramas, I have always wanted to work with the writer. I think it will be meaningful to work with a writer and director that I respect.

According to representatives from the production agency, the female lead has yet to be cast.

Actor Lee Min Ho will comeback with a drama.On March 29th, Lee Min Ho’s agency confirmed that Lee Min Ho decided to take the role for the upcoming SBS Drama “The One Who Wears the Crown, Endure the Weight - Inheritors (Short: ‘Inheritors’)” as his next project.

The upcoming drama “Inheritors” will be written by scriptwriter Kim Eun Sook and directed by Kang Jin Hyo PD in which many are anticipating that the three will come back with the best drama of 2013.

Up until now, Lee Min Ho was in “Boys Over Flowers,” “Personal Taste,” “City Hunter,” and “The Faith” which were all well known and loved by many fans worldwide. Hallyu actor Lee Minho will release a special album and start his tour in May.

On March 14th, the actor's agency Starhaus Entertainment, revealed that actor will release a special album for his fans on May 2013.

Starhaus Entertainment, said, “Lee Minho will release an album, which will be released worldwide and he will start his 10-city live tour in May.”

They also revealed that the album took two years to prepare, and made it clear that Lee Minho will not pursue a singing career. They said this was fan service, for the love and support he has received all over the world.

The profits from the album will donated to needy people.

The actor said, “My plan is to become a better actor, so singing is none of my concerns. I am doing this album for my fans. I am coming back with a project as soon as I could.”

Actor Lee Min-ho, who became a much-loved Hallyu star from TV drama “Boys Over Flowers” in 2009, plans to release a special album worldwide in May. He will have a world tour starting that month as well, according to Lee’s management agency Starhaus Entertainment yesterday.

However, Lee made it clear that the album release is just a gift to fans and not a signal of his debut as a singer.

“My goal is to become an excellent actor, and making a debut as a singer is something beyond my talent,” said Lee according to the agency. “It is a small gift I wanted to give to the fans who care about me.”

He often sings at fan meetings but has never released music to the public or sung on television.

“There have been endless requests for him to produce an album with songs from fan meetings,” said the agency. It added that it decided on the album release after two years of deliberation .

Some proceeds from the sales of the album will be donated to charities.

According to multiple sources on January 15, Lee Min Ho was recently listed as a strong candidate as the lead for the film Friend 2 (tentative title). The role offered Lee Min Ho is the son of Dong Soo (Jang Dong Gun), who met a sad death in the original Friend.

If Lee Min Ho takes up the offer, it will be his first return to the big screen in five years since his 2008 film Our School E.T and his first major role in any film.

An official told enews, "We′ve learned that Lee Min Ho has received the casting offer and is looking at it postively. He was no. 1 on the list for his distinct features, which resemble Jang Dong Gun′s, and his acting."

A rep from Lee Min Ho′s agency, however, denied the claims, saying, "It is true that we received the offer, but we recently turned it down politely as it didn′t fit his schedule."

Friend 2 recently had its draft scenario finished. It will continue with the characters and relationships set up in the prequel, and will be set on what happens after Joon Seok (Yoo Oh Sung) is released from jail. On December 2, Lee Min Ho attended the press conference for “Faith” at Yokohama Grand InterContinental Hotel. “Because the drama shooting lasted for so long, I haven’t been able to meet the fans. After wrapping up work on Faith, Lee Min Ho traveled to the Philippines on November 15 where the hallyu star stayed for 3 nights and 4 days as part of his activities as a spokes model for the casual wear brand, Bench.

The actor arrived in Manila on November 15 where his first activity included holding a press conference with the local press.

He then headed to the Araneta Coliseum where tens of thousands of fans awaited him inside for a large-scale promotional event for the brand.

Thousands of other fans who were unable to make it inside also waited outside the venue in hopes of catching a glimpse of the star.

He followed it up with a commercial shoot on November 17 and an autograph session with fans on November 18.
