'Dream High' doing well in overseas exports more than 'Chuno' Korean drama records high exporting rate in Japan.
KBS 2TV 'Dream High' (written by Park Hye-ryeon and directed by Lee Eung-bok) was exported at a higher price than 'Chuno'. Lee Hyo-young KBS media foreign business head of department Lee Hyo-young who is responsible for the export revealed, "The broadcasting rights to "Dream High" including to sell at Taiwan, Singapore, Vietnam and Cambodia on the 10th Febuary".
He continued, "The export fee for 'Dream High' to Japan was higher than drama of issue last year 'Chuno'. The product value was higher due to the fact that viewers could enjoy both K-pop and the drama". There were no Hallyu stars but interests in 2PM's Taecyeon and Suzy are big.
The power of K-pop is obvious in the process exporting "Dream High" and it also shows the potential of Taecyeon and Suzy as Hallyu stars. ' Dream High' is also expected to be exported to Thailand, Philippine, and Malaysia and more country in South-East Asia.
