Jiro Wang, Taiwanese actor-singer will be hitting the big 3-0 on Aug 24.

While most parents would have disapproved, Taiwanese heartthrob Jiro Wang's mother actually incited her son to have children before marriage.

At a fashion event in Hong Kong yesterday, Jiro -- one-quarter of boy band Fahrenheit -- revealed that friends and fans loved and supported his fashion label and was planning to open a branch in Shanghai.

Jiro let on that his friends would be in-charge of his fashion business and he tries to visit the Shanghai outlet whenever he is free. He also shared that he tends to receive updates and discussions on the business via e-mails.

Now that many Taiwanese celebrities have also one foot in the fashion biz, the actor recognized the presence of market competition. He added that designing has always been his dream and shared his hopes of designing fashion accessories and toys in future.

When asked if he would design clothing for his girlfriend, Jiro admitted that he is currently single and that he had "done real-life sketching for my girlfriend when I was still in school".

"I also hope to design my girlfriend's wedding ring, necklace and other accessories," Jiro quipped.

The actor will be turning 30 years old this coming Aug 24.

During the event, Jiro revealed, "I used to want to be married and have a family by the time I'm 30. My mum's been rushing me to get marriage every year. She suggested I could stay single, but still have kids."

However, the actor let on that he is far more traditional than his mother.

"I don't think I can do it. I must marry first. I don't have any girl I like now. You could always introduce her to me, if you know any nice girl," he said.
