The Taiwanese artiste shared his desire to start his own family and clarified discord rumours between the members of F4.

Vic Chou revealed that he missed his father while filming for his latest movie and spoke of his desire to start a family soon during a recent visit to Singapore. The Taiwanese artiste was in town to promote the new movie Saving General Yang along with co-actors Wu Chun and Ekin Chen and director Ronny Yu last Saturday.

In Saving General Yang, Vic plays the third child in the Yang family. The film tells a moving tale about kinship and brotherhood, as seven sons in the Yang family battle to save their father.

Vic explained, “The movie tells us that we can be very vulnerable at times, and then we will ask ourselves, are we willing to treasure everything and everyone around us, including our family? Do we have something that you wish to tell our family but haven’t done so?”

The 31-year-old became homesick and thought of his father who is living alone in his hometown in Yilan while filming the movie.

In an interview with xinmsn, Vic recalled that he immediately contacted his brother after filming wrapped up and invited him to visit their father together. “We went back to our old home in Yilan and accompanied my dad. My dad is like me, we are both quiet, so we just sat down quietly while having tea, and chatted for a bit here and there.”

“I saw my dad smiling slightly. I knew he was happy and satisfied, but he’s not one who would express his feelings through words,” Vic added.

The actor who is currently in a relationship with Chinese actress Reen Yu also confessed that he wish to start a family soon.

“I feel that there is something that we have to complete in our lives, and that is starting a family. I came from a single-parent family and I know how much a single-parent family can affect a child, so I want to make sure I have the ability to fulfill the conditions of a complete, blissful family before starting one.”

He quickly added that is currently “slowly working towards” his goal now.

The S.H.E member stated that both her husband and herself are financially independent.

The growing number of top-earning female celebrities marrying regular office workers is now a hot topic in showbiz. When asked on the ‘income distribution’ in the household, Taiwanese singer Ella Chen, whose annual income is rumoured to be 40 times that of her husband Alvin Lai’s, stated that both of them are financially independent.

Ella also mentioned that couple has a joint account which funds their combined expenditure such as housing loans and travel expenses, despite managing their own incomes.

However, the S.H.E member cited privacy as reason and declined to reveal if she and her husband deposit the same percentage of money into the account.

While speaking on her upcoming wedding anniversary in May, she said, “I’m very traditional when it comes to love. We’ll divorce if there is a third party.”

Ella arrived in Singapore with her husband last weekend for a guest appearance at labelmates Power Station’s concert. The singer later shared photos of the trip on her microblog.

The Taiwanese girl group will kick off their fourth world tour in Taipei this June.

Popular Taiwanese girl group S.H.E is set to kick off their fourth concert tour “Together Forever” at the Taipei Arena in June. While tickets to both shows on June 22 and 23 were sold out within three hours on the opening day, many fans have expressed their unhappiness about the “dismal ticketing system” and are asking for more shows to be added.

Fans shared their thoughts and commented, “It is unfair for the card holders of the bank sponsor to enjoy priority booking.”

Some have also complained about the laggy system due to the ticketing website’s heavy traffic: “There are so many people fighting for one seat at the same time, and the seat was easily ‘lost’ because of the system error.”

S.H.E’s management company HIM International Music responded to the complaints yesterday: “Priority is given to those who first complete the whole booking process. For more enquiries, please go to WalkiE Ticket’s website.”

In addition, HIM explained that the availability of the venue and the artistes’ schedule need to be taken into consideration before they make a decision on adding more shows.

Director Ronny Yu (于仁泰) is not tired of seeing his seven Yang brothers and he hopes to reunite them again in a future action film.

Pegasus Motion Picture’s big blockbuster war epic, Saving General Yang <忠烈楊家將>, held a press conference/ premiere in Beijing on the afternoon of March 26. All seven male leads – “Dalang” Ekin Cheng (鄭伊健), “Erlang” Yu Bo (于波), “Sanlang” Vic Chou (周渝民), “Silang” Li Chen (李晨), “Wulang” Raymond Lam (林峯), “Liulang” Wu Chun (吳尊), and “Qilang” Fu Xinbo (付辛博), were all in attendance. The seven Yang brothers’ mother She Taijun, portrayed by acclaimed mainland Chinese actress Xu Fan (徐帆), also graced the press conference along with director Ronny Yu.

The film, which is set to hit in theaters worldwide on April 4, is a retelling of the traditional Chinese folklore Generals of the Yang Family < 楊家將>, a story about the militant Yang clan and their unflinching loyalty to their family and to their country. The film will depict the final years of the seven Yang brothers and their journey to save their father, Yang Linggong (Adam Cheng).

Xu Fan is the Heart of the Movie

Although a male-dominated film, Ronny Yu assured that the female characters in the action epic are all relevant and significant to the story. Xu Fan’s She Taijun is especially, according to Ronny Yu, the heart of it all. “Without her, this film would not have been made,” said Ronny.

The director revealed that Xu Fan was actually the first to be cast in the action epic. “Three years ago, I told [producer] Raymond Wong (黃百鳴) that we must invite Xu Fan. If there is Xu Fan, then we will be able to cast the rest of the actors.”

Xu Fan recalled that her first meeting with Ronny Yu was “not very long, but we chatted for over an hour.” On the actress’ first day on set, Xu Fan’s chemistry with the director clicked immediately, and she felt as if she and Ronny had been very long friends.
Ronny praised, “[Xu Fan] is experienced, professional, and very familiar with the script. Filming Xu Fan is like watching an actual movie.”

A “Modern” Retelling

At the press conference, a new poster for Saving General Yang was unveiled, featuring the seven Yang brothers sporting modern hairstyles but wearing traditional armor, giving off a feeling of stylish avant-garde.

The director stressed that although the film itself is a period drama, he wanted to approach the source material with a modernized retelling. “This is the reason why I wanted all my main stars to be young handsome men. I’ve watched a lot of historical war epics. Now, I think it’s time for the audience to experience a different kind of epic.”

Ronny also revealed that he plans to shoot a big-budget “spiritual sequel” of Saving General Yang. He is currently preparing a modern action film that is “similar to Ocean’s Eleven. It will also feature a group of handsome men, battling out their wits. We plan to go on various jaw-dropping overseas locations to shoot the movie. I really hope that the seven brothers will come together again to film it.”

[News] Louis Koo Secretly Dating Joe Chen for Two Years.

[News] Louis Koo Secretly Dating Joe Chen for Two Years.
Cr. - jaynestars

Hong Kong actor Louis Koo (古天樂) and Taiwanese actress Joe Chen (陳喬恩) have been in a secret relationship for the last two years, according to Ming Pao Weekly. Although the couple had a rift earlier, they have not officially broken up.

The pair was allegedly introduced to each other by a mutual friend in 2010 and started dating half a year later. Louis and Joe were reportedly very serious about their relationship and considered each other as potential marriage partners.

When Louis’ relationship was exposed this week, the press tried to get a hold of Louis to respond to the matter in Thailand, where he is shooting his crime film, The Cartel War <掃毒>. Louis, however, chose not to comment.

Louis is known for keeping his private life as far from the spotlight as possible. To this day, Louis’ only acknowledged girlfriend was former Miss Hong Kong contestant Natalie Wong (黃紀瑩), whom he dated for seven years during the 1990s.

Why Louis Likes Joe

Louis and Joe may have successfully kept their relationship hidden from the public’s eyes, but their romance was widely acknowledged within close family friends. A source told the magazine, “A group of friends came together two years ago for Louis’ birthday. Joe was there sitting on the VIP spot. We all know what was going on!”

Joe once told a close friend that she admired Louis’ kindness, attentiveness, and filial nature. On the other hand, Louis is attracted to Joe’s unique personality. “Louis finds Joe’s personality very special. She is pure and not cunning. He also likes how Joe is not clingy and gives him a lot of privacy.”

Reportedly working towards marriage, Louis and Joe are patient and willing to overcome their long-distance relationship. Whenever Joe is on a break, she will travel to Hong Kong to visit him. “Joe and Jin Yong (金 庸) are very close. Jin Yong and his wife see Joe as their goddaughter, and whenever she comes to Hong Kong, she almost always stays at Jin Yong’s place. I heard that she once brought Louis over to eat dinner with Jin Yong and a few other seniors,” an insider said. Louis, too, would sneak to visit Joe in Taiwan whenever he has free time.

Last November, while Louis filmed Inferno 3D <逃出生天 3D> in Thailand, Joe was spotted walking around the same hotel that Louis stayed at. A crew member revealed, “The actors all stayed at the Emporium Suites, and I saw Joe arriving at the hotel. It turned out that she was there to see Louis. She didn’t visit him on set though.”

Louis and Joe in a Fight?

Louis and Joe have reportedly gotten into a fight after Louis’ good friend, Sandra Ng (吳君如), revealed last December that she tried to match make Louis with You Are the Apple of My Eye <那些年,我們一起追的女孩> star, Michelle Chen (陳 妍希). Joe became upset and got into an argument with Louis over the phone, which ended with the pair giving each other the cold shoulder. The argument was allegedly the reason behind Joe’s travel to New York, where she took classes. However, a source revealed that Louis’ dinner with Michelle and Sandra was not the main cause behind the couple’s temporary rift.

“Louis does not have any feelings for Michelle. When this piece of news was published, Joe did not get made at Michelle because she doesn’t believe the reports. She never asked Louis about it. Right now, they are going through problems that typical couples will encounter. We all know that Louis has several films on his hands. He doesn’t have enough time for Joe, and she is a bit disappointed about it. Small fights escalated to bigger ones because they are both quite stubborn. They wouldn’t call each other to apologize, but they have not broken up.”

After starring together with ex-flame, Wallace Huo (霍建華), in the mainland Chinese wuxia drama Swordsman< 笑傲江湖>, old romantic rumors flared again for the ex-couple. Joe’s ambiguous Weibo posts were interpreted that they have gotten back together, but perhaps Joe’s posts were not meant for Wallace after all.

Tiffany Tang’s assistant claims that Roy Qiu was unfaithful to the actress.

The blame game continues as Tiffany Tang’s assistant continues to expose Roy Qiu’s secrets and wrongdoings, following their high-profile breakup.

While speaking to reporters at an event last month, Roy claimed that he broke up with Tiffany last year, but Tiffany’s assistant later accused Roy of lying and claimed that Roy had never initiated a breakup.

Yesterday, Tiffany’s assistant claimed that Roy sent Tiffany text messages to explain himself amidst rumours that he was Taiwanese actress Lee Yu Fen while they were still attached.

Roy reassured Tiffany that there was nothing going on between him and Yu Fen and even showed off his love for her by calling her by her pet name.

Tiffany’s assistance added that Tiffany trusted her boyfriend wholeheartedly. “She had no idea that her boyfriend cheated on her.”

She revealed that Tiffany was so affected by breakup that she was unable to work. Tiffany also broke down a few times and lost a lot of weight.

In response to the assistant's accusations, Roy’s manager said, “Do we really have to rub salt into the wound? Do you want us to damage Tiffany’s reputation too? How are both of them going to continue their work and remain in the industry if things go on like this?”

Although the pair dated for two years, Roy has never openly admitted to his relationship with Tiffany.

His manager explained, “Roy never declares his relationships because he always wishes to keep a low profile. He doesn’t want his romance to be put in the spotlight because he believes that love isn’t a show.”

Roy also said yesterday that he does not pay attention to the accusations made by Tiffany’s assistant anymore, emphasising once again that he broke up with Tiffany last December.

The Taiwanese singer is estimated to rake in S$3.15m from the endorsement. Taiwanese singer Show Luo, whose popularity has risen significantly following his well-received performance in Stephen Chow’s latest film Journey to the West: Conquering the Demons, recently signed a lucrative endorsement deal with the Taiwan Tourism Bureau.

The Bureau will be organising a bike trip as well as a fan-meet session which is estimated to attract more than 2,500 international fans. According to media reports, Show will rake in NT$75 million (approximately S$3.15 million) from the events.

Appearing at National Taiwan University for an imaging shoot yesterday, Show prided himself as a born and bred Taiwanese and sang praises of his country’s cuisine while learning to make the reknowned Taiwanese bubble tea. He said, “No other place in the world serves better food than the night markets here.”

The singer claimed to be extremely familiar with the Keelung Night Market in his hometown, and jokingly bragged that he is fit to be town mayor as he is on good relations with all the people in the area.

In other related news, Show responded to the reports on his neighbours’ unhappiness regarding his pet musk hog’s stench and defecating patterns, saying, “I’ve quickly sent people to clean up the rooftop when I heard the news.”

The 33-year-old also revealed that he will relocate all his pets to a home for stray animals which he has invested millions of Taiwanese dollars on, when the place is ready in two months’ time.

Taiwanese artiste Selina Jen recently wrote a magazine article titled “A letter to Selina” where she focused on the filming accident that took place in Shanghai three years ago that left her with severe burns on her body. In the article, she illustrated her journey to recovery and revealed that she once thought of leaving showbiz as the sight of her scars made her extremely depressed.

Besides going through the pain of the physical injuries, the 31-year-old had to cope with a wounded confidence as she found herself becoming “fat”, “ugly” and “crooked-face”. Despite her gradual recovery, the singer admitted that she still breaks down thinking about the damage the accident had caused. Sharing intimate thoughts through her writing, Selina let on that she often questioned her own decision to stand before the cameras again.

Nevertheless, she expressed her gratitude towards her husband Richard Chang who has provided much needed support, reminding her that “the worst is over” and that she should be thankful for the successful recovery.

According to Selina, his encouragement often helped to erase her negative feelings: “What’s lost is lost. We should look forward to the future. It’s a waste of time to wallow in sorrow. Don’t think about how you used to be like. I miss the six-packs that I had when I was young too!”

aiwanese actor/singer Jiro Wang (汪東城) recently wrapped up filming for You’re Beautiful <原來是美男>, the Taiwanese adaptation of the Korean drama of the same name. While in Shanghai, he accepted an exclusive interview and shared about his exercise regime and his opinions on love, including a blind date story from when he was young.

When asked which aspect of Jiro leaves the deepest impression, fans might mention the many beloved characters he has portrayed in various TV dramas, or the rock ‘n roll singing style he showed off in his album What Are You Waiting For <你在等什麼>, which was released last year. Another likely answer is his muscular figure, honed to near perfection through hours and hours of relentless exercise, for the sake of showing off his body in dramas like Absolute Boyfriend <絕對達令> and Drama Go Go Go <姐姐立正向前走>.

In order to prepare for these scenes, Jiro would exercise three days a week, for two hours each time, no matter how late filming ended that day. On some days, he would exercise until the early hours of the morning, sleep for four hours afterward, and then get up and resume filming. His exercise schedule was so abnormal that his fitness instructor worried that the physical toll might be too taxing, since people who exercise usually require ten hours of sleep before they can recover their strength.

Although his exercise schedule was exhausting, Jiro felt a great sense of accomplishment as a result, especially upon hearing people whisper in surprise, “How did Jiro get such a strong build?” To him, exercise is a test of the body and a type of perseverance for the mind. After going through exercise, one will discover a higher level of perseverance in other areas of life as well.

In many other interviews, Jiro has often mentioned how his mother wants him to get married quickly and how he too is looking forward to falling in love. When asked to share a romantic memory, he recalled a time in his schoolboy years when he prepared a birthday surprise for his girlfriend. He arranged a collection of candles on the river opposite her house so that they spelled out “Happy Birthday.” At midnight, he gave her a call, told her to open her window, and then set off fireworks.

Jiro also shared about a time he’d gone on a blind date. While meeting with a friend of an elder, he heard the elder say that an uncle’s daughter and was coming, and that if she and Jiro liked each other, then they would get married after they grew up. At the time, Jiro thought he was telling the truth and immediately became very nervous.

Unlike fans who cling selfishly to their idol, Jiro’s fans are surprisingly very supportive of his search for love. For now, however, he admits that everything must be left up to fate, though he wishes for his future girlfriend to be filial. When asked about his view on the real meaning of love, he replied that love is a selfless and wholehearted investment, where you unconditionally sacrifice yourself for the other’s sake.
