The long awaited drama, SBS’s "Fashion King," has finally released a 12-second teaser.

The teaser starts with a nice beat and the announcement of the date of its first airing, March 19, 2012. Following this frame, we get to see the pictures of the beautiful main actors and actresses. First we see Yoo Ah In, then Shin Se Kyung, followed by Girls’ Generations’ Yuri and Lee Jae Hoon. The teaser finishes off with a sparkling logo of the title.

Director Lee Myung Woo is the PD of this drama. The drama tells the story of a young man (Yoo Ah In) who starts his aspiring designer career in the streets of Korea and how he works himself to the top of the fashion industry.

The teaser has already gained much attention from fans and fans have left many positive comments like, "Awaited drama!" "Cannot wait for this drama!" and "Shin Se Kyung is too pretty."

Lee Min Ho is the latest hot star rumored to take the lead in the SBS period fantasy drama “Faith.” Strong buzz surrounds reports that the actor is the current top choice for the role that was once confirmed for Lee Jun Ki and Kang Ji Hwan.

However, Lee Min Ho and his management is quick to downplay any confirmations, saying “there is nothing definite,” according to local news agencies. “His appearance in ‘Faith’ is being considered, but it is only one of the many projects under review and he has not chosen his next project.”

“Faith” is in the hands of the team behind “Sandglass” and “Legend,” writer Song Ji Na and PD Kim Jong Hak. It is only in need of a leading man since the rest of its cast members are in place. Kim Hee Sun, Choi Min Soo, Kim Seung Soo, Philip Lee and Park Sang Won are confirmed in the Goryeo-era set medical drama.

Jang Hyuk appeared on the February 23 episode of tvN’s “Location Talk TAXI” and talked about how he met his wife.

He began with, “My wife taught Jazz Pilates at the gym I work out. I saw her and decided to sign up for Pilates.”

“I had a crush on her and had joined the class. But there were 41 women and only one other man. I believe that the man there had the same intentions that I had. We all had to wear tights and the other guy couldn’t handle it, and left within a week. It wasn’t easy wearing tights.”

“I stayed with it for 3 months. After 3 months there was a get together and I paid for everything. That day I got her phone number and began to date her. I tried to make the situation seem like it was all coincidence.”

When asked what attracted him about his wife, Jang Hyuk answered, “I ran into my wife when she was coming out of the showers. That feeling was great. If the typical speed of a movie is 24 frames it felt like 2400 frames.”

He ended by saying, “I feel sorry for my wife. She is older than me, (two years older) and it probably wasn’t easy raising our kids when we were going through a rough patch. Sometimes for filming I would not be at home for a whole week. Then, my wife had to take care of the children on her own.”

Fans, though, tried to cheer him up. On occasion of his 27th birthday, fans greeted him with a surprise birthday song.

During the interview, fans showed a lot of interest in Ji Sung’s latest drama “Protect the Boss,” as well as his new movie, “My P.S. Partner.” The most talked-about topic, however, is still his friendship with “Protect the Boss” co-star and star idol Kim Jaejoong.

It’s been revealed that Song Hye Kyo sued 41 netizens for falsely spreading rumors that she was in a “sponsor” relationship (prostitution like relationshp – where the stars sleep with another for monetary support) with a politician. According to the prosecutors and the police, the actress filed a lawsuit against 41 netizens for defamation at the Seoul District Public Prosecutors’ Office.

She stated that, from September 2008 to December 2011, these netizens spread rumors like “Song Hye Kyo and politician X were in a sponsor relationship, and she gained financial support from the relationship”

During an interview last October, Song Hye Kyo talked about her alleged sponsor relationship. She revealed that she once saw a post that stated “She already has a lot of money even without the sponsor…” on her fan site. She continued on to say that she “felt bad for the other person [the “sponsor” politician] for being swept up in the issue, especially because I’ve never even met him before.”

Hallyu star Lee Jun Ki has been cast as the male lead in an upcoming MBC TV series, making it his first project since being discharged from the military.

A press release from his agency IMX Korea announced that Lee, who was relieved of his two-year military duties last Thursday, will begin shooting his new MBC Wednesday and Thursday drama "Arasatojeon" (tentative title) this May.

Lee will play the role of Eun-oh who has a cynical and prickly personality that has the ability to see ghosts. He begins to wander around the country trying to find his mother who suddenly died.

"I am nervous and excited about my comeback project and I am ready to put my all into 'Arasatojeon," Lee said in the statement about joining the show which will air July of this year.

Lee recently met with several thousand fans at his fan event on February 16 to mark his return to being a civilian after serving as a soldier in the Defense Media Agency.

He will soon meet his fans in Nagoya, Yokohama and Osaka of Japan and release his new Japanese single "Deucer" next month.

SETTV's Chinese drama "Inborn Pairs" has been setting record high ratings and taking over it will be new drama "Love Chocolate" with male lead being Vanness Wu. He arrived at the press event held yesterday driving a cruise and shared his views on taking on a 8pm chinese drama for the first time. It will be a fresh experience for him and he has a love-hate relationship with co-star Joanne Zeng Zhi Qiao. Vanness laughed and said "In the drama, she's always pranking me!"

Yesterday, under SETTV management's arrangement, Vanness got to drive a luxury cruise along the river and meet the media at the harbor. Vanness shared that "I've been on speed-boats in USA and Hong Kong but here in Taiwan, its the first time I got to actually drive a cruise. I felt very relax and free!"

In the drama "Love Chocolate", Vanness acts as the successor of a big enterprise. He dreamed of a life revolving around chocolates though, owning a chocolate-made house and thus left the family enterprise to start his own life journey. He met female lead Joanne Zeng through a coincidence and the two of them have lots of interesting and humorous interactions. SETTV's manager expressed that "In the drama, the male lead has great charisma and is very sweet and generous to the girl. He has his own beliefs and is determined to pursue things that he believes in. Vanness suited all these characteristics."

Vanness was attracted by the script and its character. Before accepting the drama, he had been praying daily and he felt that it was God's intentions for him to act in this drama. He thus rejected a Hollywood movie directed by Keanu Reeves for it. He expressed that "I'm sure it will be worth it!

This will be Vanness's first time acting in a 8pm prime time slot drama and he felt that "I get to meet the fans everyday and reward them for their support then!" When talking about his co-star whom he have a love-hate relationship with, he laughed and said "Joanne's drama character's personality really attracted me. Thanks to all her pranking though, I'm suffering alot."
This is the first time Vanness has done 4-camera filming too and he has managed to overcome the nervousness. To ensure that the best performance is given, he has also been on a diet and he shared that "I'm mostly eating salad now!"

With the "Linsanity" craze in Taiwan now, Vanness also shared that he got to know Jeremy Lin through a friend's introduction years ago and the two of them contacted through email. They only met-up in Taipei last year though and Vanness felt that Jeremy's success is a great life lesson, as they have a common friend - God.

Hong Kong singer Andy Lau is sparing no efforts to ensure the best for his unborn child.

The singer not only hired bodyguards to ensure 24-hour protection for his wife, but also invited monks to bless their child.
Last year, it was rumoured that Andy had purchased a house, which cost NT$114 million (S$6.02 million), in Malaysia.

Ratings winner “The Moon that Embraces the Sun” has hit an even bigger milestone. According to reports from local news agencies, the broadcasting rights of the MBC drama has been sold to seven Asian countries at a record-high price.

“We have completed the deals with Japan, Thailand, Hong Kong, Singapore, and other Asian countries, bringing the total to seven,” a representative of the company told local news agencies on February 22. “We cannot disclose the specific amount but among broadcast rights, whether for network or cable TV, we have set a new record for acquisition rights per episode.”

Based on past high-rating dramas like “Dae Jang Geum,” “Gourmet,” “Queen Seon Deok,” and “Jumong,” which have raked in around USD 100,000 in broadcast rights per episode, industry watchers are reported to have approximated “The Moon that Embraces the Sun” to bring USD 150,000-200,000 per episode income from broadcast rights.

Before “The Moon that Embraces the Sun,” such high interest for broadcast rights surged with tvN’s “Flower Boy Ramen Shop,” reportedly at USD 100,000 per episode and the yet-to-be-aired “Love Rain,” starring young Hallyu celebrities Jang Geun Suk and Girls’ Generation’s YoonA, which sold to Japan while it was only beginning to shoot.

In addition to its strong showing on the domestic front, “The Moon that Embraces the Sun” is also said to bank on the rising star power of its series leads Kim Soo Hyun and Jung Il Woo. Kim Soo Hyun’s popularity overseas started gaining traction with his stint in the idol-themed “Dream High” in 2011, while Jung Il Woo's "My Fair Lady" became a hit with Asian countries.

Meanwhile, the MBC drama is still enjoying the uncontested lead in audience share on its timeslot. AGB Neilsen reported 39.1% of viewers tuned in on its February 22 episode, leaving both its competitors at the 5% range.

SBS unveiled a video from the poster shoot for SBS’s “Rooftop Prince,” featuring leads JYJ’s Park Yoochun and Han Ji Min, on its official homepage. The two actors transformed into their characters and portrayed a couple in love. In the video, Han Ji Min gives Yoochun a backhug, hangs onto his shoulders, and smiles into his eyes.

Kim Hyun Joong has been making quite a name for himself in Japan with his solo activities. He’s just landed an endorsement contract with Japanese cosmetics company, ‘Slim Beauty House‘, as their TV advertisement model.

The singer has become the second Korean star to endorse a Japanese cosmetic company, coming just behind Jang Geun Suk.

SUNTORY announced that the new TV CF of “Seoul Makkori”, “Cheers with Seoul Makkori” version was going to be broadcast throughout Japan on Feb. 22. The CF has continued to star a very popular Hallyu star, Jang Keun Suk. He appeals the semi-sparkling suaveness and the convenience because of the canned Makkori to the viewers.

The setting is a white “Makkori Bar” and a bar man performed by JKS makes a toast with a woman who first drinks it, showing her the charm. His new song “RAIN” is used as the background music. It helps to enhance the sweet atmosphere.

The shooting was taken place in suburbs of Seoul, Korea this January. The set of Makkori Bar was recreated as the same as that used in the previous CF.

It’s been a year since we shot last, but he performed quite well like a real bar man who serves drinks to guests every night. When we shot the scene that he exchanged words with the woman, we felt like a gentle and sweet breeze. It’s JKS’ world.

What surprised the CF crew was his Japanese skill. He instantly understood the setting and production of acting without interpreters. Besides, he discussed how to act in detail such as stage business. Although it was marathon shooting, we succeeded to finish it smoothly not to have concentration problems.

Chinese actresses Zhang Ziyi and Cecelia Cheung have expressed their admiration for the Hallyu star Jang Dong-gun through the director Hur Jin-ho, who worked with all three actors on the upcoming movie “Dangereous Liaisons.”

According to the film’s director, the Chinese actresses were touched by Jang’s professionalism and compassionate heart while on the movie set.
“Jang’s determination and the fact that he took the time to learn and perfect his Chinese for the movie amazed the actors and the staff on set,” said Hur during an interview with OSEN.

The movie, starring three of the biggest names in the Asian film industry, is a remake of the French classic “Dangerous Liaisons” by Chinese and Singaporean production companies. The film has been remade five times to date. The most famous version featured Hollywood actors John Malkovich and Michelle Pfeiffer in 1988.

Meanwhile, Jang and Hur previously worked on the action movie “Friend” in 2001. Hur was impressed by Jang from their previous work and described the actor’s new role as, “A menace and a coward,” while calling the actor “impeccable” in real life.

Jang also worked with Cheung on the Chinese movie “The Promise” in 2005.

Lee Seung-gi has announced his departure from the SBS headline show "Strong Heart", which he has hosted since 2009. Recently, Lee also quit his role on the KBS variety show "1 Night, 2 Days".

The singer-turned-actor will focus on his new drama "King 2 Hearts" on MBC, which is set to air from March 14.

In "King 2 Hearts", Lee plays a prince who gets involved with a Special Forces instructor from North Korea when they are locked into an arranged marriage.

"Lee has expressed his desire to focus on his singing and acting career away from hosting. We have yet to find a replacement for Lee", said a spokesperson for SBS.

Lee has been hosting "Strong Heart" alone since last October, when co-host Kang Ho-dong went into retirement following a tax-evasion scandal in September.

Some industry insiders have speculated that Kang will return to the show to replace Lee, though Kang's agency has denied the rumors.

Top Korean actor Jang Dong-gun will celebrate his upcoming birthday with a fan meeting next month, according to his agency AM Entertainment.

Jang will hold the gathering with some 350 fans from Korea and abroad in Jeju Island on March 3, the official said on Wednesday.

"The birthday party and fan meeting will take place to commemorate the 20th anniversary of his debut as an actor," the official said, adding that Jang holds the annual event with his fan club Adonis.

Jung Gyu Woon, who stars in SBS "Salaryman Cho Han Ji" as Choi Hang Wu, brought a snack truck full of dumplings, soondae (Korean sausage), and uh-mook (fish cakes) to the filming set of "Salaryman Cho Han Ji" in Pyeongchangdong, Seoul during the overnight filming.

Crew members, who were worn out by the cold weather and busy schedule, cheered loudly as they gathered around the snack truck instantly. Thanks to Jung Gyu Woon and his surprise snack truck, actors and staff members enjoyed a brief, but much needed snack break. Jung Gyu Woon also surprised the staff of "Salaryman Cho Han Ji" with fried chicken and pizza previously with co-star Kim Suh Hyung.

One of the staff members commented, "Overnight shootings can be really exhausting. But the food from snack truck warms and fills us and keep us going. We are really thankful to work with Jung Gyu Woon, who has always been very friendly and attentive to his staff."
