YouTube version of "Naughty Kiss" to air starting Nov

Korean TV series "Naughty Kiss" starring popular singer and actor Kim Hyun-joong will be turned into an online version which will show on video-sharing website YouTube starting November.

A press conference was held at Google Korea's headquarters in Seoul on Wednesday, announcing that the TV show's producer Group 8 and YouTube owner Google have agreed to create a YouTube version of the series originally based on Japanese comic "Itazura na Kiss."

The two parties explained that seven ten-minute long episodes, with the same cast and director from the TV show but with new or additional details, will be newly shot and distributed through an exclusive channel on YouTube, allowing viewers from across the world to watch the show.

"This is an innovative attempt through which a domestic drama broadcast on a public network will newly be produced into an online version, and it has significance in that it will diversify the channel through which video contents are distributed," Group 8 CEO Song Byung-joon remarked.

Starting early October, when the channel for the YouTube version of "Naughty Kiss" opens, viewers will be able to submit entries for story idea contributions as well as take part in an event recruiting subtitle creators for the show from various country.

Directed by Hwang In-roi of "Goong" (MBC, 2006) and "The Return of the Iljimage" (MBC, 2009) fame, Kim and actress Jung So-min star in the TV show on air since early this month on major Korean broadcaster MBC.

Kim plays the role of Baek Sung-jo, the all-around Mr. Perfect-type character who ends up falling in love with a girl always getting into trouble, taken on by Jung.

While the original Japanese comic series has sold over 27 million copies in Japan and has been made into animation in Japan and a top-rated television drama in Taiwan, "Naughty Kiss" was sold to 12 countries across the world ahead of its premiere.

Group 8 ตกลงกับทาง Youtube เพื่อออกอากาศละครเรื่อง Playful Kiss สำหรับ Special

ละครเรื่อง Playful Kiss หรือ Mischievous Kiss ของเกาหลีที่มีนักร้องยอดนิยมคิมฮยอนจุง (Kim Hyun Joong) ร่วมแสดงจะมีเวอร์ชั่นออนไลน์ที่จะออกอากาศในเวบไซท์ Youtube ตั้งแต่เดือนพฤศจิกายน

งานแถลงข่าวที่จัดขึ้นที่บริษัทแม่ของ Google เกาหลีที่กรุงโซลในวันที่ 16 กันยายนนี้ โดยมีประกาศออกมาว่า ทางโปรดิวเซอร์ของ Group 8 ของรายการทีวี และเจ้าของ Youtube ทาง Google ได้ตกลงร่วมกันทำเวอร์ชั่น Youtube ที่เป็นเนื้อมาจากการ์ตูนญี่ปุ่นเรื่อง Itazura na Kiss

ทั้ง 2 ฝ่ายอธิบายถึง ตอน 710 นาทีด้วยนักแสดงคนเดียวกันและผู้กำกับเดียวกับทางละครทีวีด้วยเนื้อหาและรายละเอียดใหม่เพิ่มเติมจะถ่ายทำใหม่และออกอากาศผ่านทางช่องพิเศษของ Youtube เพื่อช่วยให้ผู้ชมทั่วโลกสามารถชมละครได้

ทาง ซงบยองจุน (Song Byung Joon) ที่เป็น CEO ของ Group 8 กล่าวว่า “นี่เป็นวิวัฒนการใหม่ที่พยายามจะทำให้ละครท้องถิ่นหรือในประเทศได้ไปออกอากาศอย่างเครือข่ายที่เข้าถึงผู้ชมมากยิ่งขึ้น และจะเป็นการโปรดิวซ์ในรูปแบบเวอร์ชั่นออนไลน์ ซึ่งแน่นอนว่าสิ่งที่เห็นได้ชัดคือมันจะเป็นความหลากหลายของช่องทางการสื่อสารที่เนื้อหาของวีดีโอเผยแพร่ออกไป”

เริ่มตั้งแต่เดือนตุลาคมที่ละครเรื่องนี้จะออกอากาศผ่านทาง Youtube จะเปิดตัวขึ้น และผู้ชมสามารถเข้าไปชมเนื้อหาไอเดีย และเช่นเดียวกับการที่จะร่วมกิจกรรมต่างๆ ซึ่งหมายถึงการเสริมคำบรรยายสำหรับละครจากประเทศต่างๆ อีกด้วย

ด้วยชื่อเสียงของผู้กำกับฮวางอินรอย (Hwang In Roi) จากละครเรื่อง Goong ปี 2006 ของทางสถานี MBC และ The Return of the Iljimae ในปี 2009 ของทางสถานี MBC อีกทั้งนักแสดงอย่างคิมฮยอนจุงและจองโซมิน (Jung So Min) ที่จะร่วมในละครเพื่อออกอากาศตั้งแต่ต้นเดือนนี้สำหรับสถานีหลักของเกาหลีทาง MBC
