Lee Byung Hun left a message to cheer up the Japanese citizens after disaster struck the island nation.
He wrote a message titled "Hello, I am Lee Byung Hun" on his main website, www.leebyunghun.kr.
He wrote "I don't know what to say but I can't help but feel powerless at the extent of the natural disaster. All I can do right now is offer words of concern and sympathy. I am writing this to at least be of little help to those that were affected."
He continued, "I have been keeping up with the news with urgency every since I heard what happened. Everyone in the world are praying that this situation can be dissolved without too much loss. Although the situation seems dire, don't lose hope and continue to be brave."
Lee Byung Hun finished by saying "Natural disasters come whether we want it or not but it's how we deal with these disasters that matters. I pray that nothing else happens."
He is one of the main stars of the Korean Wave and has a lot of fans in Japan.
