[News] "The Unjust" and "Night Fishing" score wins at int'l film fest in Canada.

Korean movies "The Unjust" and "Night Fishing" won awards at this year's Fantasia International Film Festival in Canada last week.

On Wednesday, the official website of the fest revealed that action film "The Unjust" won the award for best screenplay, while Hwang Jeong-min and Ryoo Seung-beom shared the prize for best actors for their roles in the film during the 15th annual Fantasia International Film Festival in Canada which was held from July 14 to August 7.

Famed Korean director Park Chan-wook's film "PARANMANJANG (Night Fishing)" was award the silver prize for best short film under the Audience Awards category.

Several other Korean films were shown at the fest including "Battlefield Heroes," "Bleak Night," "Foxy Festival," "Ghost," "Haunters," "Hello Ghost," Invasion of Alien Bikini” and "Petty Romance."

First established in 1996, Fantasia, taking place in Montreal, explores the diverse realms of genre cinema. It showcases the best in world cinema, discovering and nurturing new talents and allows a platform for the audience and artists to connect.

The fest also features six official competition categories including the feature competition, the first feature competition, the animation competition, the international short films competition, the Quebec shorts competition and the DIY Quebec shorts competition.
