Song Chang Ui and Ha Hye Jin will lead the cast of new jTBC drama tentatively titled Syndrome.
This’s a medical drama with big budget production cost around 3 billion Won. jTBC was reported that they placed their biggest effort after Padam Padam for this drama.
This’s the newest drama for 30-year-old Han Hye Jin after KBS Thorn Birds and she’s reported to cut her hair for Syndrome. Good move ! She’ll play resident neurosurgeon doctor Lee Hae Jo. A doctor from rural college who determined to be the best.
Meanwhile for Song Chang Ui, he will play doctor again after played a perfect doctor in Life is Beautiful. But he promises to show different style of doctor this time as he plays resident neurosurgeon Cha Yeo Wook, a doctor from high profile college and family as he’s the grandson of the chairman of Hangook General Hospital.
Syndrome also picks 34-year-old actor Park Gun Hyung. After his last drama, The Kingdom of The Winds in 2008, Park Gun Hyung did several musical stage performance and now he’ll play a chief neurosurgery doctor for Syndrome.
Both three as usual will perform love triangle and political hospital feud.
Besides those three lead casts, Syndrome also cast several supporting actors such as Kim Yoon Suk, Jo Jae Hyun, Im Won Hee and Kim Song Ryung.
Syndrome will be directed by PD Lee Sung Joo (Seoul 1945) and the story is written by writer Kim Sol Ji who also penned MBC drama No Limit.
Scheduled to replace Padam Padam … The Sound of His and Her Heartbeats, Syndrome will debut February 13.
