Hong Eun Hee will be joining the cast of “King’s Dream” as Duk Man who later becomes Queen Sun Deok.

The staff for “King’s Dream” said Hong Eun Hee will be joining the cast after it was confirmed last week that Park Joo Mi would not be returning to the project. They said that it was difficult to find an actress that could take over the role of Queen Sun Deok who is one of the central characters in the drama.

The drama’s reps added that the reason they decided to cast Hong was because she actively pursued the part, her current image is not too far off from Queen Sun Deok’s image and she is a great actress.

Hong Eun Hee said she felt the pressure because Park Joo Mi had been doing such a great job, but she wanted to show her own rendition of Queen Sun Deok to the audience. She added that she wanted to show a more charismatic and fierce Queen Sun Deok rather than a warm and soft character.

The actress confirmed her casting over the weekend and participated in her first script reading session with the rest of the cast members on November 26th. She will be taking part in outdoor filming over the week.

A special program for “King’s Dream” will air this weekend and the drama will resume normal broadcasting starting next week on December 8th.
