นางเอกดังไต้หวัน "หลินจื่อหลิง" (Lin Chi Ling) ถูกวิจารณ์หนักเป็นตัวถ่วงซูเปอร์สตาร์ "ทาคุยะ คิมูระ" (Takuya Kimura) ฉุดเรตติ้งซีรีส์ Moonlight Lovers ตกต่ำ ด้านเจ้าตัวออกปากยอมรับผิดหวังเช่นกันและพร้อมเรียนการแสดงเพิ่ม

ถูกพูดถึงไม่น้อยทีเดียวสำหรับ Moonlight Lovers ซีรีส์ฟอร์มใหญ่จาก ฟูจิ ทีวี ที่ได้ซูเปอร์สตาร์แดนปลาดิบอย่าง "ทาคุยะ คิมูระ" มานำแสดงร่วมกับนางเอกชื่อดังถึง 3 คน ได้แก่ เคย์โกะ คิตากาว่า (Keiko Kitagawa), ชิโนฮาร่า เรียวโกะ (Shinohara Ryoko) และ หลินจื่อหลิง นางเอกสาวจากไต้หวัน

โดยหลังจากเปิดตัวด้วยเรตติ้ง 22.4 ผลปรากฏว่าตัวเลขดังกล่าวกลับตกต่ำลงมาเรื่อยๆ ซึ่งในช่วงหนึ่งเคยเหลือเพียงแค่ 13.4 จุดเท่านั้น กระทั่งกลายเป็นตัวเลขระดับกลางๆ ของละครชุดทั่วๆ ไป และแย่กว่ารายการของอีกสถานีที่ฉายในช่วงเวลาเดียวกัน แตกต่างจากผลงานเก่าๆ ของ ทาคุยะ คิมูระ ที่มีเรตติ้งเฉลี่ยอยู่ที่ 20 ขึ้นไปเท่านั้น และเป็นรายการยอดฮิตของแต่ละปี

มีรายงานว่า ฟูจิทีวี ผู้ผลิตซีรีส์ชุดนี้แสดงความผิดหวังออกมาอย่างชัดเจน จนมีข่าวลือว่า Moonlight Lovers อาจจะถูกตัดจบในตอนที่ 8 ซึ่งจะออกอากาศในวันที่ 5 ก.ค. แทนที่จะมีครบ 10 ตอนเหมือนละครชุดในช่วงไพร์มไทม์โดยทั่วๆ ไปในญี่ปุ่น



ทั้งนี้เสียงวิจารณ์โดยส่วนใหญ่นั้นได้ตกอยู่กับบทโทรทัศน์ที่หลายๆ คนมองว่าเขียนออกมาได้ไม่ดีนัก ผิดกับผลงานสองเรื่องก่อนหน้าของ ทาคุยะ อย่าง Mr.Brain และ Change

นอกจากนี้ในส่วนของนักแสดงสาวชาวต่างชาติ อย่าง หลินจื่อหลิง เองในบทบาทของสาวจากสลัมผู้ทำงานในโรงงานเพื่อเลี้ยงชีพตัวก็ถูกวิจารณ์ไม่น้อยทีเดียว ว่ามีการแสดงไม่ถึงขั้น มีการกล่าวหากระทั่งว่าเธอเป็นตัวถ่วง ทำให้ความโด่งดังและสถิติโกยเรตติ้งของ ทาคุยะ คิมูระ ที่หันมารับบทรักโรแมนติกเต็มรูปแบบเป็นเรื่องแรกในรอบสิบปีนับจาก Beautiful Life เมื่อปี 2000 ต้องมัวหมอง
