Lee Dong-wook from the SBS weekend drama "Scent of a Woman" has risen as the new Hallyu leader with support from the popularity of the drama.
He is loved by women of all ages along with the modifier 'warm and caring man'. Not only that, he's gone abroad and gathering popularity from overseas fans as well.
Those foreign fans who have a lesser chance of getting close to him are making great effort to keep up with him by watching "Scent of a Woman" on the Internet and visiting his SNS, management blog, various fan sites and hearing about him from the news.
His management says, "We've had a good base of foreign fans but it seems like they expanded just recently and they've been visiting the office or calling. Also, there have been many calls for casting from overseas and it's almost too hard to deal with all of them".
"We can feel his popularity from the fan meeting suggestions coming in from South East Asian countries like Japan, Thailand, Taiwan and more".
