Choi Si-won of boy band Super Junior has said his upcoming TV series is different from other crime-solving dramas in that it actually focuses more on human relationships.

Choi made the remark during a press conference held in Seoul on Thursday for his new KBS drama "Poseidon" which will tell about police officers that are part of the Coast Guard Investigation team who solve various crimes that occur on the sea.

"On the outside, 'Poseidon' may seem like the typical hard crime-solving series but it is actually about the strong bonds and relationships between the characters," he said. "It revolves around love and friendship and will show how a group of people come together to reach a certain goal."

"I also changed my view on the human relationships within the drama and saw why director Yoo Chul-yong wanted to portray on the strong bond between the characters when I found out that he has worked with his current staff for more than ten years," Choi explained.

Yoo is well-known for his directorial works such as dramas "All In" (SBS, 2003) and "H.I.T" (MBC, 2007) which contain similar human-relationship based storylines.

"Poseidon," written by scenarist Cho Kyu-won of blockbuster series "IRIS" (SBS, 2010), will also star actors Lee Sung-jae, Han Jung-soo and actress Lee Si-young and show in the Monday and Tuesday primetime slot starting September 19.
