Takeshi Kaneshiro and Tang Wei will visit Korea to promote their new movie at the Busan International Film Festival (BIFF) next month, according to the film's promoter &Credit.

On Wednesday, &Credit announced in a press release that Takeshi Kaneshiro and Tang Wei will take part in various festivities for the 16th annual Busan International Film Festival, from October 6 to 14, and promote their film "Wu Xia" which will be screened under the Gala Presentation category.

"I am extremely excited that I will be attending BIFF this year after hearing such great things about the fest from other people," Takeshi Kaneshiro was quoted as saying while co-star Tang Wei expressed she was anxious to return to Korea.

The actress has been to Korea a number of times to promote her previous works and attended last year's BIFF for film "Late Autumn" which co-starred top Korean actor Hyun Bin.

"Wu Xia," helmed by Peter Chan Ho sun, tells the story of paper-maker Liu Jinxi (played by Donnie Yen) who lives a peaceful life with single mother Ayu (Tang Wei) when he accidently kills two robbers who threaten his paper workshop.

Detective Xu Baiji (Takeshi Kaneshiro) tries to unsolve the mystery and uncover the true identity of Liu who might be a member of the 72 Demons, a clan of Tanguts (former rulers of China's neighboring Xiaxia kingdom).

The film, which also received favorable reviews at this year's Cannes Film Festival, will open in local theaters on October 27.
