[News] Mukai Osamu to make a guest appearance in the drama ‘Taburakashi’.

On April 12th, it was announced that actor Mukai Osamu will be making a guest appearance in the fourth episode of NTV’s drama ‘Taburakashi‘.

‘Taburakashi’ is about a company that employs actors who work as doubles of other people in the real world. The protagonist of the drama is their newest addition, an actress ‘Todo Maki’ played by Tanimura Mitsuki. Mukai will play another actor at the company.

Apparently Mukai was quite intrigued by the idea, and thought about the benefits of having someone else act as his double. “Whenever I want to lie down for a bit, I’d like to have someone act as the working Mukai Osamu,” he said. “Can you even get your face copied?”



Mukai even went as far as asking the staff about all kinds of related problems. He asked, “If I wanted to hire a double, how much would it cost me?” The staff told him that it costs ¥30,000 ($370) per hour, which shocked him quite a bit. “No thank you, that’s too much. This wouldn’t be worth it.” However, he thought about it for moment and added with a smile, “Well, it wouldn’t hurt making use of it once in a while.”

Even though he only appears in the drama for a very short time, his role proved to be quite a challenge for him. He commented, “I haven’t really played such a character before, so it was difficult finding the right expressions.”

The fourth episode of ‘Taburakashi’ will air on April 26th.
