Hallyu star Bae Yong Joon plans to spend time with his relatives during the Chuseok (Korean Thanksgiving Day) holiday at his parents’ house located in the suburbs of Seoul. He wasn’t in Korea last year due to the promotion of his travel essay book, The Journey to Discover the Beauty of Korea in Japan. But, this year he is going to make songpyons (suehan: half-moon-shaped rice cakes) and chat with his family.
Especially, during this Chuseok holiday, the program, ‘Experience at the Site (KBS2)’ will air which he appeared in 10 years ago. It might be somewhat awkward because he will be watching the start of his career with his family.
He’ll also meet his younger sister’s family and perform the role of uncle to his growing nephews. It seems that his parents will push him to marry someone soon because he still doesn’t have a girlfriend. He declared that he would marry within three years in 2008. His agent said, “It seems that he will be a good son because he is the oldest son and the brother of a younger sister. He will spend time to harmonize with his family because he cooks well and he has a friendly personality. It seems that he will prepare for the new house in his spare time because he plans to move out from his leased house in Samseong-dong.”
