...Hallyu began roughly 12 years ago when the rest of Asia discovered Korean soap operas. One of the breakthrough dramas was a series 'Winter Sonata' starring Choi Ji-woo & Bae Young-Joon. After that, more Korean dramas saw their way to foreign shores and Korean films and music started to follow suit. Korean marketing people started to see a Korea-centric trend. Sony Japan opens official website for 2PM’s Japanese debut

With so many K-pop idol groups already venturing their way into the Japanese market, 2PM will soon follow suit with their new partnership in SonyMusic.
The Japanese website provides short profiles on each of the members, and background information about 2PM’s career thus far.
It also has information about 2PM’s upcoming events, which dishes on a DVD release for November 24th, as well as a release for a special Japanese edition of their first album ‘1:59PM’ on December 8th. 2PM’s Japanese debut album is scheduled to drop sometime in Spring 2011.
Additionally, 2PM will be holding their first Japanese event on December 8th at the Ryougoku Stadium, which can hold up to 10,000 spectators.
