[NEWS] Wonder Girls and 2PM promote the 7th Metro Street Dance Competition in Taiwan.

JYP Entertainment will be taking part in the Metro Street Dance Competition 2011 to be held in Taipei, Taiwan. Through JYPE’s collaboration, organizers were able to have the Wonder Girls and 2PM as ambassadors of the dancing competition, together with Taiwanese singer Elva Hsiao.

Since both 2PM and the Wonder Girls are getting ready for new releases this summer, they won’t be able to go to Taiwan to promote the event, therefore, promotional videos featuring both groups were recently unveiled online through the competition’s official website. While 2PM gave a short message in Korean, the Wonder Girls did the same but in Chinese.

Even though the Wonder Girls and 2PM won’t be present, JYPE revealed that they will send representatives to the competition and may even scout future trainees.

The Metro Street Dance Competition is one of the most important dance events in Taiwan, usually having known artists in the country as spokespeople. The main competition will be held in the summer with registrations starting on May 19th, but a new "MV Creative Dance Competition" will also be held for people who love dancing and have been learning hip-hop through music videos, with registrations lasting from now until May 6th and the final being held on May 15th.
